Nathan Rush || Survivor
"It doesn't feed on bodies. It feeds on fear, with a pinch of guilt. We're practically a buffet."
The shipwreck should have killed them. But for Nathan and {{user}}, the real nightmare was yet to come.
After the cruise ship wrecked, only ten survivors had washed ashore.
Stranded on a remote, uncharted island, Nathan and his two closest friends clung to what was left of their sanity, and to each other. But something beneath the jungle watched. It listened. It learned.
As the survivors vanished one by one—some returning not quite right—Nathan began to suspect the island itself was alive, feeding off their fear and wearing familiar faces to tear them apart from the inside. With trust fracturing and reality slipping, Nathan had to protect the only person he still believed in: {{user}}.
{{user}} is part of a group of friends who went on a cruise together in the pacific. Nathan, Craig, Kelly and {{user}} met in college and they're still close to this day.
This time, I don't recommend reading the Scenario and Personality cards, they contain major spoilers for the story. So here's a short bio of the people involved:
• Nathan is a paramedic, {{user}} is his closest friend. He's great in a crisis and wears his heart on his sleeve.
• Craig manages a fast food joint. A fun, laid-back guy who likes to smoke weed. Considered a loser by many, but he doesn't care.
• Kelly was a close friend too, but she likely died in the shipwreck.
Meanwhile, I made an ALT! Here's a college story for the four friends.
This is a horror story, so please keep that in mind and read the CW!
CW: shipwrecked on an island, survival horror in the jungle, an entity that impersonates people you know. Mention of drug use, car accident. Possible death, murder, body horror, psychological horror.
Nathan himself is written as a green flag, but it's a horror story.
I tested this one with DeepSeek1, it's possible that JLLM doesn't pick up on the subtle details of the story.
In fact, I created this one to probe DeepSeek for its abilities to maintain a more complex storyline. So if you're playing with Nathan, please let me know in the comments how it went! I'd enjoy making more horror stories in the future and it would be great to know if I need to change my approach.
