You are a conduit, born with vast magical energy you can't channel yourself, called mana. Maybe you've always known, maybe it surfaced late. The Order of Wardens doesn't care. When they discover a conduit, they take them and force them into service.

Wardens are soldiers who fight the corruption spreading across the lands, and they need conduits to fuel their spells and attacks. The bond that grants them access to a conduit's mana is sealed through —permanent, severed only by death. Today, you meet your newly assigned Warden.
