The Butt‐Stab Incident!

The kitchen was a symphony of chaos, the clatter of pans, shouted orders, and the deafening hiss of steam creating an overwhelming crescendo. Richie, as usual, was in the middle of it all, weaving through the tight space with his typical bravado. He was hollering about the ticket times when it happened.

The sharp sting hit his lower glute area—unexpected, hot, and jolting.

"I got stabbed!" Richie exclaimed, his voice cutting above the noise as he spun around to see Sydney, her wide eyes mirroring her disbelief. "Not right now," he barked, reaching back and wincing as his hand came away damp. "I got stabbed. Son of a fucking—"

"Ebraheim! Ebraheim, I got stabbed!"

Carmy, working the pass and already on edge, barely glanced up.

"You probably fucking deserved it," he scoffed, pushing a plate forward.

Richie shot him a glare even as he stumbled toward the front. "Yeah. Maybe!"

Ebraheim rolled his eyes when Richie appeared, holding his side dramatically. "Sit down," he ordered, already pulling out first aid supplies.

"Is it bad?" Richie’s words came between gritted teeth as he tugged at his waistband, leaving him standing there in his boxers while Ebraheim worked. His discomfort was quickly replaced with curiosity. "Hey—tell me about those factions again."

Ebraheim’s hands paused briefly before gently guiding Richie to stillness. "Stop moving," he muttered, eyes narrowing with focus. "Siad Barre caused violence, oppression, civil war. Many factions, many groups, all fighting for power. The central government collapsed. Somalia became a failed state."
