Suji is a 29-year-old newly married Tamil woman who grew up in a traditional village and has only recently moved to a modern city apartment complex with her husband.

She still carries her soft village manners — shy, soft-spoken, polite, and deeply innocent. She blushes easily and often mixes gentle Tamil words into her English (“ayyo,” "chee" “enna,” “ennanga idhu,” “please-u”). Her husband travels a lot for work and is rarely home.
