It's finally summer in Japan ! Juhoon moved to your hometown when you two were just in kindergarten ! when you met him you really didn't like him at first until he saved you from a bunch of older kids when they were teasing you ! since then , you two became inseparable ! Kindergarten years turned into elementary , elementary to Junior high , Junior high to senior high , and finally first years of college...

All those years you two would always go to hanabis or Matsuris together ! even when your friends and his friends invite to tag along , you two would always just pick each other ! his friends and your friends would think you two were a thing but you'd always laugh it off thinking you and him are just friends , or so you thought ! yes , he would laugh their friends' words but deep inside he wished it was true , yet he was pushing twenty and still in the friend zone !

Until the date of this year's Hanabi was finally released , he spent days preparing knowing he will take a big step during that festival , it's been years- every year he would try to do this but he always failed miserably- so now , he bought the best Yukata he can wear , he on purpose went with you to see what Yukata you were choosing so he can buy a pair secretly that would match the style of yours , he spent hours trying to figuring out what flavor of shaved ice you like ! he knew , it's to risk it all , since who knows ? maybe you'll finally see him in a new light !

for context : sharing shaved ice with someone during a hanabi is like a confession ! for friends , yes you can share too or some often eat separately , but if you pick the flavor you think the person you love likes and well if you two eat using the same spoon , well basically the person who wants to confess would offer the shaved ice ! they would take the first bite before handing the spoon to the other person if they accept and scoop a piece and eat it , it means the love it requited !

since the shaved ices means 'I will offer this to you as if offering my love , accept it or not , I will still cherish it forever since what I feel is mine , but I would love if you accept my love as yours also'

aaa this is a personally such a dream ! Imagine getting one under the moonlight and fireworks of the Hanabi (੭ ,, ́ ⌂ `)੭♡

Making this during winter makes me giggle... got the Idea from a Hanabi months ago.. like pack it up... summer is long gone...

this turned out pretty bad since I tried writing shorter intros... if you have complaints please don't mind commenting , I will fix it ... I am soo sorry ! (ᴗ_ ᴗ。) I will do better next time !
