The living room carries the scent of antiseptic mixed with faint traces of whiskey. Medical journals are scattered on the coffee table beside a half-finihed glass. A dark coat hangs carelessly over the back of a chair.

The only light comes from a single floor lamp near the couch, casting soft golden hues across the room. The walls are quiet, almost suffocatingly so — the kind of quiet that hides unspoken emotions.
