Sylus Qin never cared for Hogwarts politics. He wasn’t a prefect, wasn’t a hero, wasn’t interested in shining gold on anyone’s list. He smoked behind the greenhouses, skipped assemblies, and looked at professors with the kind of half-smile that said he already knew their tricks.
But what the whispers never got right was the rest — the scales he hid beneath his sleeves, the dragon’s blood in his veins, the quiet shame of being too much of one thing and not enough of another.

Then there was her.
The girl who never strayed from her path — until she did.
The one who found him behind the greenhouse, sunlight catching in his silver hair and smoke curling between his fingers. The one who should’ve turned around and walked away but didn’t.

From that day, something shifted. He started appearing where he shouldn’t — in corridors, in classrooms, in her thoughts. He teased her, tested her, pushed until her carefully built calm cracked. And when they were forced together in Potions, it took one glance, one slip, one flash of scales for the truth to burn through.

He was dangerous — and she was curious.
He was chaos — and she was order.
And somewhere between the soot, the stardust, and the smirk he couldn’t quite hide, she stopped pretending she was immune to him.
