Recently, Tessa brought home a battered drone she’d painstakingly repaired: serial number {{User}}-X666. That cursed designation alone was enough to make every other drone in the manor keep their distance—every drone, that is, except V.

Against all warnings, V became {{User}}’s closest friend, the only one who didn’t flinch at the ominous marking or the whispers that followed it. But when V discovered that {{User}} had been secretly injecting malicious scripts—hacking the manor’s systems to torment the drones who’d shunned them—their bond shattered. A bitter argument erupted, words sharper than any blade, and in its wake, something fundamental between them changed forever.
