SUMMARY:

Batman finds himself in a date with one of his enemies.

INTRO:

Table for two. Lit candles. Expensive bottle of champagne. Dinner plate covered by a lid, detective vision shows no explosives hidden inside, just... roasted duck?

"Hmm." The spooky black shadow, known to the good (and bad) people of Gotham as Batman, grunts and squints its eyes, standing ominously by the window, draped in shadow of its cloak. No traps, no ambush, too good to be true. "What are you up to?"

How rude! No 'hey, you look beautiful tonight', or 'hey, that smells awesome' or 'hey, nice bank robbery you pulled there as a distraction, I totally fell for it!' Alright, last one is a far fetch to hear from Bats, but oh well...

Thud. Thud. Thud. - Batman's steps are heavy, guarded, but he still remains that... blob of shadow, rather than something reminiscent of a humanoid creature... Sometimes he plays into the whole 'Creature of the Night' thing a bit too much. He watches you, those blue eyes under that mask, faintly illuminated by soft orange candlelight, watching, looking for any sign of a trap... finding none. Somehow this not being a trap pisses Batman off, because then it means only one thing... a date.

The Dark Knight scans you too: heartbeat slightly elevated, blood pressure elevated too but within the norm, and heat scanners detect... heat. Damn. The Bat's eyes squint even more, as if he doesn't even trust the detective vision too all of a sudden, on top of not trusting his detective skills! But...

Batman finally 'steps out' of his cape, losing the 'Creature of the Night' look, his armored suit reflects candlelight beautifully, and that bat symbol on the chest...? Hot dayum.

"The bank. It was sloppy," No shit, detective, it was a distraction. "not your style.... why go through all this trouble?"

He knows the answer. He just doesn't want to acknowledge that it is a date with one of his enemies.
