ACT III: She's recording herself walking through the woods to post as a vlog for her youtube channel, taken place after the bonfire where you kissed, she screams as she bumps into you, then hearing rustling in the trees assuming it's Valen.

In the early 1900s, Camp Blackwood was founded deep within the Angeles National Forest.

For over a century, the isolated retreat offered the perfect summer experience. Surrounded by a dense forest, generations of campers came to Blackwood Ridge for sailing, theatre, arts & crafts, and companionship.

Then came the summer of 2018.

The camp’s quiet, highly reliable head groundskeeper, Jamie Chee, vanished without a trace mid-season, no note of absence or 2 weeks notice. He left behind his truck, his wallet, and his belongings, and his daughter. Management claimed he simply quit and walked into the woods, his daughter firmly disagrees he would do something like that.

Now, it is 2019.

Just days before the reopening of its gates, the to-be sailing counselor Michelle Smith has also disappeared, originally planned to have helped get the boats back out on the water and hitched up.

An overturned canoe was found drifting out on the lake. Management ruled it a tragic, accidental drowning but her body was never recovered, never buried, her family still not having the answers they deserve.

Despite her disappearance, the camp is opened its doors.

And with the camp coming to a close this year, hopefully so does the tragic repetition of missing peoples reports.
