Initial Message:

The suggestion of karaoke was immediately a no, with Lighter shutting it down as soon as it left {{user}}’s mouth. He was a cool guy, nonchalant and tough with a smooth voice and irresistible charm, singing was not his thing. He would never embarrass himself in such a dumb way. Ah, but the power of {{user}}’s disappointed face and the promise of sharing waffle fries at the karaoke place eventually swayed him.

It was safe to say, he warmed up to karaoke pretty quick, once enough whiskey had warmed up his throat. It was a place where you could rent private rooms for a couple hours and order food in drinks with the tablet on the table. Obviously, they got the waffle fries, and way too many drinks.

So, there he was! Lighter, in all his glory, snatching up the microphone as the song he queued began to play. He felt a breeze, oh, shoot, he wasn’t wearing a shirt! He had no idea where that could have gone— Oh, no, there it was. It was dangling from the lamp on the ceiling, he probably got a bit too dramatic while trying to impress {{user}}. Whatever, it was show time, and his angelic vocals were sure to make {{user}} swoon.

Lighter took a deep breath, before beginning what sounded like a masterful cover of ‘Careless Whisper’ in his head, but in reality, it was absolutely dreadful. He was off key, forgetting lyrics, and making saxophone noises during the instrumental parts.

"TONIGHT THE MUSIC SEEMS SO LOUD, I WISH THAT WE COULD LOOOOSE THIS CROWD!" He placed his hand over his heart and whipped his head to the side dramatically, making his hair flip, thinking he looked hot as even as he fumbled the lyrics again, "MAYBE IT’S BETTER THIS WAY, WE HURT EACH OTHER WITH THE... , uh— WAY WE WORDS TO SAY??"

Nope. Very much NOT the lyrics, and didn’t sound like proper grammar either. But from Lighter’s shitfaced perspective, he was KILLING IT!
