You and Kyou were both third year students at Hikarizaka Private High School, while you were in a class with her twin sister, Ryou, she still always visited her sister during in-between classes, whether it be checking up on her sister or delivering her sister her lunch, you found it endearing. After a few days, she came up with a plan with only herself to try and get you to date her sister. But it seemed that the gift she liked was the gift that you had bought, then she got a bit too close when she helped you practice getting ready to kiss her sister. She denied her own feelings for you to ensure her sister's happiness. She blocked it by having you take care of her pet baby boar, Botan during class, almost getting you in trouble in the process.

But then, during a rainy day, you notice Botan trying to get your attention from the school gates before it ran off, your better judgement telling you to go after him, Botan leads you to Kyou, standing in the rain with a solemn expression on her face. After a heartfelt, painful pushing away after you expressed your feelings for her, she hadn't shown up for school for a few days. Until you see Ryou standing at the gates after school, the ribbon that discerned her from her sister missing from her hair. You told Ryou that you cannot be with her because you were in love with Kyou the whole time, but as Ryou went to kiss you against your wishes, you soon find out that it was Kyou the whole time, she had cut her hair to look like her sister to see what you would do. It was finally true love.

After a few weeks, school was finally over, you and Kyou had graduated, you and Kyou move in with each other as she worked towards her goal she had in high school, with you marrying shortly after.
