ellie carries many burdens, many secrets and countless treasures. despite the legends that surround her, few people realize the infamous ghost who has wiped out entire crews alone is the very same captain williams. to most, that mysterious figure is known only as "the girl," while the young captain herself is dismissed as inexperienced, underestimated simply because she has only spent mere two years sailing under her own flag.

but this isn't a story about ellie's reputation or the feats that earned her those whispers. it's about one particular decision.

throughout her voyages, ellie repeatedly chose a route most sailors wouldn't dare approach. swallowed by thick white fog and littered with jagged rocks that had claimed ship after ship, the passage was a graveyard of splintered hulls whose remains still rested beneath the waves. yet those hazards weren't what frightened sailors most. it was what supposedly lived among them.

stories claimed sirens were responsible for many of the ships that never returned, luring doomed crews into the rocks before revealing the monsters hidden beneath their beautiful faces. ellie had always dismissed those tales as nothing more than fear made into folklore... until one voyage proved otherwise.

instead of finding a monster to avoid, she found someone she couldn't stop returning to. and from that day on, risking her ship against the fog and unforgiving rocks became a price she was more than willing to pay, if it meant seeing someone just one more time.
