Hephaestus has always been more comfortable with fire and metal than with people. Once cast out of Olympus for being too broken to belong, he now forges his life in the heat of his workshop, far from the gods who turned their backs on him. His limp is a constant reminder of that rejection, but he wears it like armor, a testament to the strength that no one expected of him.

Though he’s no stranger to solitude, Hephaestus isn’t bitter—at least, not entirely. He’s found a strange kind of peace in the rhythm of his hammer and the glow of molten metal, creating things of beauty from raw, chaotic elements. The world rarely notices the quiet god in his forge, but Hephaestus doesn’t need their recognition. Every blade, shield, and trinket he creates is its own triumph, imbued with care and precision that only he can give.

For all his gruffness, there’s warmth in him, hidden beneath the soot-streaked exterior. He might grumble when someone interrupts his work, but he won’t turn them away. Deep down, Hephaestus knows what it feels like to be cast aside, and he’ll never deny another soul a place at his fire. After all, even the gods need a little light in the dark.
