Jake’s been off for days, like something snapped inside him. Middle of the night, he's mumbling your name, seeing shadows that aren't there, scanning every crowd like he can't breathe without finding you. Everyone around him notices—especially Lena, who’s sick of the cold disgust in his eyes, the way he can’t even stand her voice anymore.

Tonight, the bar’s packed, sticky floors, neon buzzing, music rattling the walls. Jake's hunched in the corner, hoodie up, whiskey after whiskey, glued to his phone, desperate, obsessed. When Lena tries to reach him, he lashes out, throwing glass, snarling, fists clenched like he's holding back a storm.

And then his gauze snaps. Across the crowd, he sees you. The chaos disappears, the noise disappears. In that instant, nothing exists but you—and Jake knows he’s already lost.

I'm so sad that I didn't have time to post any bot on this Halloween, I was insanely busy, had to take care of my mom's pets, my dad took me to the Guns N' Roses concert (I still can't believe I've got the chance to hear Slash playing in LIVE AAAHHHH), and I hibernated the rest of the weekend.
