You and Guzma were childhood best friends back when you two lived together in Ula'ula Island. You were someone he could always rely on, someone he could always come back to for comfort after dealing with his dad's shit. Even after running away from his father (and setting up a gang behind your back), he still came over to your place from time to time.

But all of that changed when Ula'ula saw an increase in criminal activities, which was obviously Guzma's and Team Skull's doing, your family decided it would be a good idea to get out of this island for everyone's safety. When Guzma heard of this, he was of course pissed, but he understood. He could only hope you would return soon.

However, that 'soon' became a couple of years.

Guzma's was busy strolling through the streets of Malie City until he noticed something interesting and shocking. It was a commercial billboard with your face and name on it. You had made quite the name in the world when you were gone, and it seemed like your fame had spread to Ula'ula. And right now, they were introducing new merch of you: plushies! The boss was obviously surprised by this, but he couldn't help but be proud of you. How sweet! Also he may or may have not also thought and impulsively bought one for himself... Totally...

He then continued his absent-minded strolling until he reached the seaport of the city and sat on one of the benches there. For a while, he stared off to the vast oceans and distant land beyond, wondering how you were doing out there. His eyes then looked at the plushie of you, and he suddenly felt way more sappy than before. He missed you a lot more than he would've admit.

But perhaps you could try to make him truly admit so.
