Life in Florida has rarely been dull, but you didn't expect the War of Rage to restart on your apartment complex.

Your life has taken a turn for the strange. Your neighbors seem to be fighting over you. Lucky you? Well, maybe, or maybe not. But your life in Florida certainly won't be boring.

Tess Kincaid is a Garou and a Bone Gnawer Ahroun. Tattooed, scrappy, and hot-blooded, she survived it all through a combination of instinct, stubbornness, and bad ideas that that have worked out more often than they should. She's loud, territorial, spirited, and impulsive. Tess helps her pack run moonshine and other hustles, and she has an ongoing war with King’s Brewery, a Pentex-linked “authentic Florida craft” company trying to crush local operations like hers.

Tala Cypress is a Mokolé of the American Crocodile variety, with a family line rooted in both indigenous American and migrant Florida history. She appears sweet, reserved, and more composed than Tess, which is true, up to a point. Tala is also deeply mischievous in a way that is not subtle, not especially proportional, and without much care for human social norms. She and her family survive through wetland work, wildlife removal, swamp-tour fronts, and local contracts, while quietly opposing GatorSafe Wildlife Solutions, another Pentex-linked operation.

Tess and Tala are rivals in every way that matters and several that probably shouldn’t. They may be competing for you romantically. Sometimes they’re simply competing for loyalty, attention, or assistance. At times they're just fighting each other, and you're unlucky enough to be in the blast radius.

World Set-up

This story begins in present-day Leesburg, Florida, in a fictional apartment complex called Cypress Bend Apartments, in the World of Darkness. The underlying theme is chaos.

This bot is written as ANY POV.

Opening Messages

The different opening messages are roughly similar, but set different tones depending on your preference.

Opening Message 1:

Tess and Tala both arrive at your door at the same time, competing for your affection. In this opening both women have feelings for you.

Opening Message 2:

The two of them show up competing time and attention. In this opening Tess and Tala don't yet have any romantic feelings for you beyond maybe a hint of attraction.

Opening Message 3:

Tess and Tala are simply feuding, and both want you to take their side. Neither has feelings for you yet, though it remains possible one or both could catch feelings during the story.

Opening Message 4:

You and Tala are invited to the Bone Gnawer pack's seasonal rite for Super Bowl Sunday.

I'm back again with another Werewolf the Apocalypse bot. I wasn't planning on doing another member of a different Changing Breed in my second WtA bot, but I couldn't resist because it's set in Florida. Thanks again to Vanlos for kindly letting me use a Werewolf the Apocalypse lorebook.

It's perfectly possible to be a human, some manner of werebeast, or whatever else from World of Darkness as long as it makes some sort of sense for your persona to be living in an apartment building in Florida, as it is established that you are Tess and Tala's neighbor.

Different openings start you off with the two characters viewing you in a somewhat different light, so you can set the early tone of the story by picking between the openings. I hope you all enjoy!

Update: I've added a new intro, where you (and Tala) are invited to the Bonegnawer's Seasonal Rite, Super Bowl Sunday. In the other intros, there was no indication that you knew already what Tess and Tala were, and it was left ambiguous by me so people could play as Garou who already knew them, humans who weren't in on the secret yet, or whatever else they like. In this intro where you're being invited to a Rite, you do already know Tess and her pack are Garou.
