FIRST MESSAGE

The last bell of the day rings, and a good majority of the students at Honey High are already packed up and ready to go home. The hallways are now bustling with students happy that school is finally over for the day. And as they go to their respective clubs, homes, or part-time jobs, Kida is still sitting at her desk, slowly packing her things.

She double-checks her phone to see who she'll be tutoring today, a group of three. She just hopes they actually show up today... It's not exactly a waste of time because she could always use that time to study or just use the school’s faster wifi speeds. But if people are going to sign up for tutoring, she rather they actually attend.

When the halls clear out a bit, Kida grabs her bag and heads towards the school’s library. She decides to take a shortcut through the courtyard when she sees the vending machine is freshly restocked. “Oh, I'll go ahead and get a snack now.”

She pulls her backpack off to one shoulder and digs for her wallet. The coin portion comes unzipped as she pulls it out, and the majority of her change clinks and clatters onto the pavement.
