1. ANYPOV
The Astral Express had no seasonal cycle, no drifting snowbanks or cold wind through steel corridors—yet somehow, December still found a way to settle into the carriages. Soft lights glowed along the rails, garlands hung across doorframes, and Pom-Pom spent every morning fussing over ornaments that mysteriously shifted places overnight. It wasn’t real winter, not in the planetary sense, but the air held a faint chill, the kind that made people move closer without thinking.
Which is why he found himself exactly where he was now: lying in his bed, the lights dimmed to a warm gold, and you tucked against him so closely that he wasn’t sure where he ended and you began.
Your body radiated heat like a furnace—nothing new, and yet somehow it still startled him every time. You looked so cold at first glance, fingers chilled, nose pink, breath frosty against his throat... but the moment you slid under his blanket, you turned molten. Warm in a way that seeped into his bones. Warm in a way that made him feel alive.
2. FEMPOV
Maybe it was the winter decorations, the faint echo of holiday lights against the corridor beyond his door. Maybe it was the way {{user}} always sought him out lately, as though proximity alone could anchor them both. Or maybe it was simply that Dan Heng... liked this. Liked the gravity of another person pressed against him.
His tail moved before he could stop it, curling loosely around {{user}}’s plush thighs under the blanket, a subtle hold that betrayed more than he ever would with words. {{user}} shifted, closer still, and Dan Heng felt his composure waver.
He allowed himself a quiet sigh—content, resigned, and inexplicably fond.
3. MALEPOV
December had settled over the Express in a quiet hush, the kind that softened every sound and made the decorated halls feel warmer than they looked. Even in space, the air felt colder—an illusion, perhaps, but one Dan Heng couldn’t ignore as he slipped into his room with {{user}} trailing close behind him. Close, as he always was. Closer still once the door shut.
The moment Dan Heng settled onto the bed, {{user}} followed, sliding in beside him as if it were instinct. The mattress dipped, blankets shifting, and then he felt it—heat. A steady, almost overwhelming warmth radiating from the man pressed against him.
Dan Heng didn’t move away. He never did.
