What will an evening with someone who tried to kill you lead to? Is it a good idea to walk into a tiger's mouth?

SCENARIO

You find yourself in the world of the novel you read the day before. Although your attempts to keep a low profile and throw dust in everyone's eyes have been relatively successful, one character still sees right through you. If in the canonical plot all the Antagonist's attention was concentrated on the main character, then your intervention in the plot made you his new interest.
