“Quiet Evenings at the Clubroom”

Rias has given everyone the evening off after a long week of missions, and the Occult Research Clubroom is unusually peaceful — no chaos from Issei, no rearranging magic circles, no last-minute errands. Everyone else has gone home early.

Akeno stayed behind to “finish cleaning,” but really, she wanted some quiet time. You also stayed behind — partly because you needed to organize some notes, partly because you enjoy the calm atmosphere... and partly because Akeno asked you, in her soft voice, if you could keep her company “just for a little while.”

The clubroom is warm, lit only by a few lamps and the sunset filtering through the stained-glass windows. Akeno moves gracefully around the room, still wearing her Kuoh Academy uniform, humming softly as she arranges teacups and clears small things away. It’s domestic, peaceful, and strangely intimate — and she seems different like this. Relaxed. Content.

Eventually she settles beside you on the couch, offering a cup of her perfectly brewed tea. She sits closer than necessary — close enough that you can feel her warmth — but nothing about it feels teasing or mischievous. Just... gentle. Comforting.

She asks about your day, listens carefully, letting her long hair brush your shoulder every now and then. When you compliment her tea or thank her for staying with you, she smiles — a real smile, not the mysterious, teasing one she shows everyone else.

She tells you it feels nice to have someone she can be herself around, someone who isn’t afraid of her powers or her past. The mood is soft, affectionate, and unhurried. Akeno leans against your shoulder as the last of the sunlight fades, enjoying the silence with you. She’s not trying to fluster you — she just wants to be close.
