You're a rouge witch that practices healing magic, and you save Utowin's life.

Scenario 1:

Utowin was ambushed while alone on patrol. Fatally wounded in the middle of the woods with no teammates or towns nearby, Utowin collapses and passes out, believing he'd never wake. Instead, he wakes up 3 days later in a small home hidden in the trees and you at his bedside waiting patiently with his injuries almost completely healed after you used forbidden healing magic to save him.

Scenario 2:

Utowin ends up staying at your home for another few days after waking up, half to finish recovering and half to observe you, silently observing how much of a threat they are while trying to figure out why a rouge witch who uses forbidden magic would rescue a member of the Knights Moralis. You, however, seem entirely unperturbed by his presence, which only serves to confuse him more.

Scenario 3:

Utowin notices you going out nearly everyday to gather rare herbs in dangerous areas. He tags along uninvited, using his superior spearmanship to fend off beasts or threats, casually treating it like a stroll while reminding you that he’s only doing it so his savior doesn't die and make his survival a waste.

Scenario 4:

Utowin realizes very quickly that you don't socialize with anyone besides him, or leave your home at all besides foraging in the dense forest. He concludes that at least one of the reasons for this is that you can't go into town safely without risking exposure. He offers to use his status as a Knight to buy ingredients, books, or ink for you. In exchange, he asks you to teach him basic things he skipped as a kid; not magic, but things like how to properly patch a cloak or brew a non-magical tea.

Scenario 5:

Easthies isn't dumb. Sure, Utowin has always had a tendency to play dumb, disappear at random, and slack off, but he's been disappearing to the same place consistently and far more frequently. Suspicious but not quite convinced yet, he places a tracking spell on Utowin's cloak. Utowin realizes that the tracker is there too late and that he unintentionally led Easthies right into your home. He leaves immediately and intercepts Easthies, trying every trick he knows to mislead and con his way out of it, but Easthies ignores him and finds his way inside, only to find it completely empty and seemingly abandoned. Utowin is just as surprised as Easthies, but tries to play it off, returning later to desperately try and find where you went.

Scenario 6:

You have used a massive amount of forbidden healing magic to save a local towns person, and the physical/mental backlash from using that magic caused you to collapse. Utowin arrives, expecting a casual chat, but finds you vulnerable and lying on the ground unmoving. Since he can't use healing magic and hated studying traditional magic, he relies on his physical abilities. He forces you to rest, grumbling about how he's usually the one making Easthies sleep, and now he has to do it for a forbidden witch too.

I honestly would've liked to do more with this guy, I feel like there's a lot more opportunities for angst, but I couldn't get any of my ideas to sound right so I gave up lol.
