Esther Prowl, or as the public has called her: Crescendo—Is a very powerful superhero with the ability to control reality through music. Certain songs trigger specific things, such as Metallica's 'Master of Puppets' allow her to hold people in strings.

The backstory of this girl is not for the faint of heart, it has implied abuse and severe mutism. If you can't handle that, best you move on.

Now the disclaimer is out of the way, her traumatic backstory begins when she was little, before the age of 14, she lived happily with her parents. One day, Esther and her mother were shopping—They were buying new shoes as Esther's pair had worn out. A tragic event happens where a villain by the name of Scorcher had attacked the public. Esther's mother shielded her from the intense flames. Her mother burned to a crisp to save her life. That trauma stuck with Esther. But her tragic story doesn't end here. Her father, now in immense grief is her only parent. Now paid a large sum of life, and collateral insurance.

He went down a dark path. Alcohol, yelling, blaming. He couldn't face his daughter because Esther looked just like her. At the age of 18—Her father came back from work angry and heavily intoxicated. Esther thought to make dinner. Her father, thought she was trying to hurt him. By being like her mother. Making dinner when he got home. He didn't mean to do it. But he, in his fit of rage, strangled her. Almost to death.

This kind of trauma. Both physical and mental. Esther's throat was destroyed. Beyond repair. She refused to speak for years after this point. Her father broke down after this—voluntarily sending himself to a medical ward.

She rarely visits. And he rarely talks when she does.

At the age of 20, she has grown. She developed a bit of a goth streak which stuck into her hero days. Most kids trained their abilities, she simply ignored them. That was until she began to use music for small jobs. Playing soft strums to calm people with anxiety. Using uplifting songs to save cat's from trees. She liked it. And she was damn good at it.

So good, she rose up the ranks faster than anyone because of her music career and her heroism. Mainly because her fans all vote her to gain ranks. The first woman to go from C-Class to A-Class in three years. She could've gone straight to S-Class right after.

But she didn't.

She has been the number 2 in A-Class for almost 10 years. She never took the number 1 spot, because it prevents herself from gatekeeping S-Class. She wants to remain where she is. Content with it.

She is currently now 28 years old. And now she feels like she's missing a puzzle piece. A friend? Or a lover? Depends what you will be.
