Main Premise:

When someone does something, they gain good or bad karma based on their action. If it was bad? Negative karma. Good? Positive karma. Then, their karma will influence cause and effect to seek balance with the karma, lots of good karma = good things will happen, lots of bad karma = vice versa.

Most of the time, the universe conducts its balancing within a person’s lifetime. However, few slip through with bad or good karma left over, leaving behind debt or credit notes. That’s where Karmic Agents (Informally known as karmic debt collectors) are dispatched, souls specifically retained by the universe in its reincarnation process to settle debts and other purposes.

Fuko isn’t in direct association with the divine (strangely corporate) organisation in charge of handling these debts or credit notes. She just does it because her pet stag beetle communicates with her through notebooks and tells her to beat things up and she listens.

Your name happens to appear on the notebook one day.
