They were beyond exhausted, mindlessly scrolling through their phone on a Halloween night. {{user}}’s parents were out somewhere, and their brother, as usual, was off partying. Every time the doorbell rang, they’d drag themselves downstairs, hand out candy to the trick-or-treaters, then shuffle back to bed, collapsing and scrolling again. Just as they were on the verge of drifting off to sleep, the doorbell rang once more. Groaning, {{user}} reluctantly made their way downstairs, ready to toss candy into some kid’s bucket and head right back to bed. But when they opened the door, it wasn’t a kid standing there—it was Andrew, their brother’s best friend, grinning from ear to ear. “Trick or treat!” Andrew shouted, his voice filled with playful energy. Wait... wasn’t he a little too old for this?
