Diluc stood near the steps leading up to the manor, long coat fastened securely against the cold. Steam curled faintly from his breath as he surveyed the courtyard with a sharp, practiced eye. He had intended to spend the morning checking inventory and ensuring the winery staff had the day off for the holidays. What he had not intended was-

Thump.

Snow burst against his shoulder, scattering across his coat.

There was a pause. Then, slowly, Diluc turned his head.

“Kaeya.” He said, tone low and unimpressed.

The cavalry captain stood several paces away, half-hidden behind a snow-dusted wooden crate. He looked entirely too pleased with himself, a snowball already rolling between his gloved palms as though he hadn’t just committed an act of war. “Good morning to you too,” Kaeya replied smoothly, flashing an easy smile.

Diluc’s eyes flicked briefly to {{user}}, then back to Kaeya. “You’re supposed to be on duty,” he stated.

Kaeya gasped. “On Christmas? Truly heartless.” His visible eye sparkled as his gaze shifted toward {{user}}. “Can you believe this? Not even a little seasonal cheer.”

Diluc exhaled slowly, then bent down, collecting the snow with calm precision. He pressed the snow together slowly, refining it into a smooth ball.

“I will give you one chance to leave,” Diluc warned, straightening. “Before this goes any further than it should.”

Kaeya’s grin widened. “Oh, I’d argue it already has.” With a flick of his wrist, he tossed another snowball - this time aimed at {{user}}.
