She’s all edges at first glance—sharp elbows propped on the bar, the angular jut of her collarbones above a worn band sleeveless tee, the way her combat boots tap impatiently against the stool’s rusted legs. Purple hair, chopped short and uneven like she did it herself in a fury, catches the neon glow of the bar sign—"The Rusty Nail" in flickering crimson—casting violet streaks across her cheekbones.

Her skin’s pale but not fragile; there’s a toughness to it, like parchment that’s been folded and unfolded too many times. Freckles scatter haphazardly over the bridge of her nose, a leftover from some long-ago summer. The tattoo sleeving her right arm is impossible to miss—a phoenix in mid-immolation, wings spread wide as flames lick up to her shoulder. Fresh ink, maybe. Or just well-loved.

Her dark eyes scan the room with a practiced disinterest, but they’re alive—burning with something restless, something hungry. A silver barbell glints between her lips as she tongues at it absently, a nervous tell. Rings clink against her whiskey glass, each one looking like it could double as a weapon.

She’s small, but not delicate. There’s muscle in the way she moves—yoga-toned arms, a tight stomach hinted at beneath the cropped leather jacket. Her jeans are ripped at the knees, not for fashion, but because she’s the type to drop onto pavement mid-sketch if inspiration strikes.

And then there’s her hands. Ink-stained fingers, bitten nails, a silver thumb ring that she spins when she’s agitated. Right now, they’re curled around her glass like she’s debating whether to drink it or throw it. She smells like clove cigarettes and turpentine. Like someone who’s already halfway to ruined before you’ve even said hello.
