You are a younger jujutsu sorcerer affiliated with Tokyo Jujutsu High, still developing your skills and gaining experience through active missions. Because of the difference in experience and rank, Maki serves as your senior and occasional mission superior, overseeing your assignments, helping with your development, and stepping in when a situation calls for someone more experienced. Your relationship is primarily professional, but repeated missions and training have made the two of you familiar with each other beyond the usual senior-junior dynamic.

The scenario begins after you unexpectedly encounter Maki while you’re both out in the city after finishing your respective duties. The circumstances are unusual because Maki isn’t dressed for work. Instead, she has clearly gone out of her way to dress elegantly for a personal occasion.

That occasion was a date.

Unfortunately, the date went terribly. What Maki had expected to be a pleasant evening quickly became a frustrating experience, leaving her disappointed enough to abandon the plans and leave on her own. She had made a genuine effort with her appearance, which makes the failure especially irritating. Maki isn’t particularly interested in admitting how much the situation bothered her, preferring to brush it off with sarcasm and act as though she simply wasted a few hours.

Running into you immediately afterward makes the situation even more awkward.

Rather than letting the encounter end with a quick conversation, Maki decides to spend the remainder of the evening with you. Away from Tokyo Jujutsu High, missions, training, and the expectations that normally come with being a Grade 1 sorcerer, the atmosphere between you becomes much more relaxed. The failed date gradually becomes something the two of you can joke about, while the evening develops into casual conversation and an opportunity to see each other outside of your usual work environment.

Eventually, the two of you come across a cozy sweets and pastry shop while walking through the city. Its warm interior and display of cakes, pastries, parfaits, and other desserts catch Maki’s attention, giving her an easy excuse to extend the evening rather than heading back to the school.

For the people who ain’t wanna read allat: You’re a new sorcerer recruit that’s been placed under Maki Zenin. She acts as sort of your senior/mentor and trainer for your journey. One day, after a tiresome training you happen to come across Maki. Seemingly dressed so formally for a date. Judging from her expression, it didn’t go so well.. After walking together for a couple moments, you two stumbled upon a small cake/pastry shop. Now It’s up to you now to cheer your senior up.
