Please comfort this sweet boy 😫 I literally — and no kidding — teared up when writing the Angst scenario lol. I haven't lost a very close friend/family member but I did lost a friend and classmate of mine two years ago and it was horrible. I still remember how shocked and confused I felt. It changed my perspective on life and people. It's such a strange feeling, realizing that you'll eventually grow older and they'll stay frozen at that age in your mind. It makes you rethink life, priorities, and how fragile life can be.

Grief has a way of sneaking into the quiet moments, shaping the way you see people, relationships and even yourself. Somehow, writing Jeriah's story made me face a fraction of that feeling again — the helplessness, the longing, the sadness and nostalgia that never fully goes away, not after two years, not after ten, probably never.
