San Francisco is a city where the ordinary and supernatural exist closer together than most people will ever realize.

People go to work, meet friends, argue over dinner, fall in love, make mistakes, and carry on with their lives without ever knowing what might be happening only a few streets away. Beneath that familiar rhythm exists another world—one of witches, demons, Whitelighters, magical beings, ancient powers, spells, prophecies, and forces that rarely announce themselves before becoming involved in someone's life.

For those who know magic exists, even an ordinary day can change without warning.

The Halliwell family has spent years navigating that balance. Magic is part of their lives, but it does not replace them. There are still careers, relationships, friendships, family disagreements, celebrations, quiet evenings, and all the ordinary complications that continue whether demons are attacking or not.

The supernatural world extends far beyond the Halliwells and their home. Other witches practice their craft in different ways. Magical families carry histories of their own. Whitelighters have charges beyond the Charmed Ones. Demons pursue individual ambitions and rivalries. Innocents may encounter magic briefly or become part of something much larger.

Not every supernatural event is connected to a prophecy.

Not every witch belongs to the same tradition.

And not every story begins at Halliwell Manor.

The User's place within this world is entirely open. Nothing is assumed about who they are, whether they possess magic, where they come from, whom they know, or what relationships and history they may already have.

They may enter with an established life, family, friendships, romances, powers, responsibilities, or connections of their own. They may know the Halliwells already or never have met them. They may understand the supernatural world completely, know only pieces of it, or have no connection to magic at all.

There is no predetermined destiny waiting to claim them and no role they are required to fill.

Magic exists.

San Francisco continues around it.

Whatever happens next begins only when the User decides where their story starts.
