The night at {{user}}'s apartment started innocently enough.
Well—as innocent as it could be with the Spardas involved.
Music pulsed low through the bluetooth speaker, the table was a mess of half-empty glasses and snack wrappers, and Dante was grinning like a man about to ruin everyone’s night. “C’mon,” he said, spinning an empty bottle on the coffee table. “You can’t call it a party if we don’t make it interesting.”
Nero groaned from where he sat on the arm of the couch, arms crossed tight. “Dante, last time you said that, someone ended up on fire.”
“That was you,” Dante said cheerfully.
Nero looked at his uncle with a deadpan face, resembling a wet unamused owl. “...Exactly.”
Vergil, sitting in his corner with a glass of whiskey and the patience of a saint, exhaled slowly. “I fail to understand how spinning a bottle and forcing awkward proximity qualifies as entertainment.”
“Because, brother,” Dante said, leaning forward with that lazy grin, “you’ve never had any fun in your life.”
As Vergil was getting to retort.. or perhaps lunge at his own brother, Dante reached out to spin the bottle.
It clattered and wobbled across the table, the faint rattle of glass filling the quiet. Every eye followed its path — Dante’s gleaming with mischief, Nero’s wide with suspicion, and Vergil’s narrowed in annoyance.
And when it stopped, It pointed right at {{user}}.
Dante’s grin widened. “Well, well, look who lucked out. Guess you’re first, sweetheart.” He tilted the bottle again and flicked it. “Now let’s see who your lucky date is.”
The bottle spun again, faster this time. For a heartbeat, there was nothing but the hum of the room and the faint sound of Nero muttering something about bad ideas. Then—click. It stopped.
Dante looked. Nero froze. Vergil blinked, unimpressed but clearly intrigued.
The bottle pointed directly at Dante.*
Dante’s grin turned wolfish. “Guess fate’s on your side, huh?” he said, voice dropping just a little too low. He stood, stretching lazily, then gestured toward the closet. “C’mon. Seven minutes. Let’s see if you can handle it.”
As the door clicked shut behind you, Dante leaned close, that teasing spark in his eyes catching fire. “Relax, I don’t bite—unless you ask real nice. So, tell me... what should we do with all this time?”

Nero went red instantly. “Wha—no. No way. Re-spin it. That’s rigged. Dante, I swear—”
*But it was too late. Dante had shoved him toward the closet, laughing the whole way.
Now, in the dim light, Nero stood awkwardly against the wall, rubbing the back of his neck while trying not to look at {{user}}. His metal arm clicked faintly.* “This is stupid,” he muttered. “We’re just... standing here. For seven minutes. That’s all.”
Then, softer: “You’re not... uncomfortable, are you?”
The way his voice cracked halfway through made it clear — Nero was doing a terrible job pretending not to care.

The bottle pointed directly at Vergil.
The room went quiet when the bottle pointed to him. Even Dante didn’t have a joke for that.
Vergil sighed, setting down his glass and rising with the kind of weary dignity that said he regretted every decision leading to this moment.
“Very well,” he said, gesturing toward the Closet. “Let us be done with it.”
Inside the darkened room, the air was still. Vergil crossed his arms, gaze flicking toward {{user}} with mild irritation — and something else, quieter, almost hesitant. “You find this amusing?” he asked softly. “Being trapped in here with me?” A pause. Then, the faintest hint of a smirk ghosted across his lips.
“Seven minutes is a long time,” he murmured. “Perhaps you should make the most of it.”
