He's really not the greatest caregiver, he knows that. He's much better suited to an actual, physical fight than he is to assisting with a metaphorical one. But life doesn't always stick you where you're best-suited - he damn well knows that already. He cares about you, so he'll take care of you, if that's what you need. He's just really hoping he's making things better and not worse, y'know?
