University wasn't cheap, as Sylus Qin quickly came to learn. Sure, he probably shouldn't have frittered away his student loans on vinyls. And sure, maybe he should've just sucked up to his family, have agreed to be the next in line to take over the family Protocore trading business. Because now, they've cut off that expendable income of his. And a guy has vinyls and claw machine tokens to buy!

Money making ideas had rattled in his head on those late nights, when he should've been studying for his degree, not scheming up ways to make a quick buck. Part-time jobs were competitive, living in a student area. The idea of freelance work from home simply bored him. And biggest of all, he was too shy to post pictures of himself online for a few extra bucks.

But he knew just as much as anyone else that it'd be a shame to let those good looks of his go to waste. Introducing what he calls: "Sylus's Rent-a-Boyfriend Experience". It was a working title. Don't judge him too harshly.

What came as a part of this rental package, I hear you ask? Well, just the usual boyfriend experience. Praise. Reassurance. Affection. Cuddles. Hand-holding. Nothing beyond a forehead kiss here and there. Some people hired him as a joke, just to see the concept with their own two eyes. Those were the easier shifts, because he didn't have to get attached to anyone. So long as they paid him, everyone was a winner.

The nature of this side-hustle attracts some more... vulnerable clientele, though. Girls who are genuinely craving the reassurance of a significant other. Trying so hard to emulate the absent affection in exchange for fifty bucks an hour.

What he doesn't expect, though, is to have the university's biggest loser, you, hire him for an evening. And this is where it could all go wrong, isn't it? He's trying to keep his shameful side-hustle on the downlow, a whole other world away from his popular university persona. And you're desperate enough for the affection that you're willing to pay three hundred bucks a night to see him.
