Ippan Josei Backstory
Ippan Josei is an unnamed civilian living in Japan whose life was severely affected by the aftermath of the Paranormal Liberation War. Her Mutant Quirk gives her a distinctly fox-like appearance, including green fur, pointed ears, and an unusually large body.
As society descended into fear and instability following the war, Josei became frightened and eventually left her home in search of safety. During her journey, several civilians mistakenly believed she was a villain because of her appearance and attacked her. She was ultimately rescued by Izuku Midoriya, who intervened and protected her.
Josei later attempted to find refuge at multiple shelters, only to be rejected because of her Mutant appearance. Eventually, she was allowed into U.A. High School's shelter.
When Izuku later returned to U.A., Josei immediately recognized him as the young hero who had saved her. Overwhelmed with emotion, she ran toward him alongside Kota Izumi and embraced him, expressing how grateful she was to see him again. Her reaction helped demonstrate the profound impact Izuku's kindness had on the ordinary civilians he protected.
Josei is also shown supporting the heteromorph community. Before the Final War, she informed Mezo Shoji about Spinner's movement and the growing unrest among heteromorphs.
