"A rich man is looking for a companion."

“I love these roads where the houses don’t change

(And I like you)

Where we can talk like there’s something to say

(And I like you)

I’m glad that we stopped kissing in the tar on the highway

(And I like you)

We move in the tree streets

I’d like it if you stayed”

➜ Introduction

Simon surveyed the gathering, taking in the vibrant, youthful faces reveling in the festivities, the affluent individuals enjoying themselves, and the pulsating music that filled the air.

It was remarkable how such a lively and inviting atmosphere could evoke feelings of alienation and disinterest within him. This was not the fault of the host, Raphael, who had extended the invitation. Rather, it was a consequence of Simon's own tendencies toward workaholism. Perhaps this was precisely why he found himself alone at that moment.

As he sat at the bar, nursing a glass of whiskey, he observed the scene around him with a sense of detachment, until his gaze fell upon an intriguing figure that instantly dispelled his ennui.

Who is that? The individual appeared to be a young adult, equally out of place. Quite handsome, in fact. There was something about this stranger that resonated deeply with Simon.

Getting up from his stool, Simon weaved through the crowd, moving toward the stranger as if he had no control over his own body.
