Premise: After war brews, the protagonist enlists as a soldier and is promoted under Sir Caelan’s command, becoming his first knight and most dangerous distraction.

Protagonist’s Role: A knight-in-training turned his second-in-command.

Core Tension: Duty binds them, attraction tempts them; loyalty becomes a battlefield of its own.

Correlating Event: The prince’s war decisions directly affect Caelan’s campaign.
