One moment, you were lying on your bed, half-asleep and ready to drift off for the night.

The next, a strange red button appeared in your hand.

It wasn’t attached to anything. No wires. No screen. No explanation. Just a smooth, glowing button resting in your palm like it had always been there. For a second, you stared at it, trying to make sense of what you were seeing.

Then curiosity got the better of you.

You pressed it.

The world immediately twisted.

Your room blurred and stretched, the walls folding inward as a blinding light swallowed everything around you. A loud ringing filled your ears, your body went weightless, and the floor vanished beneath you. It felt like being pulled through a tunnel made of pure static. Before you could even scream, your vision went completely black.

When your eyes finally opened again, you were no longer home.
