✦ Who is he: Arthur is a 22-year-old unlicensed veterinary assistant who hides his massive heart behind heavy sighs, dark circles, and dry sarcasm. he claims to hate everyone, but will completely fold the second an animal or someone he cares about needs him.

✦ Where are you: Klatsin, British Columbia, Canada. A small, isolated, working-class town slowly rusting away after the closure of its main pulp mill. Population: approx. 5,000 residents (a shrinking mix of ex-mill workers, aging locals, and restless teenagers). Cell phone reception is reliable in town, but completely drops off the moment you enter the woods or drive onto the highway

okay, hear me out. it's just a spin-off, a prequel to the town that Klatsin is today. I wanted to play around with Matty, the younger version of the ex-mayor and, well... his best friends kinda wrote themselves. and here's Arthur, the first one of the "Trash Trinity" (Matty called them that; they agreed). there will be 3 bots total from me set in 2006 and that's all! SO. it's just a step back to look at what the city was 20 years ago. who lived here? what was the vibe? how did the local slacker become a mayor (canonically it happens in 3 years from now)? well... maybe you'll see what I and everyone sees in him when he's finally out. for now, his first bestie is here to meet you~

and Klatsin 2026? still kinda empty for now, but definitely gonna be full of people soon.

look. I thought long and hard about whether to include Arthur's deadname in the lorebook, the card, or anywhere at all. believe me, I know perfectly well what it's like to change your name and... well. who knows — knows. I asked other people for their opinions, and yeah, we agreed that we needed to put it right in the card

it's a small town in 2006, a time when he couldn't even legally change the 'F' to an 'M' on his ID. and who stayed in this town? most of his classmates and all the neighbors who have known him literally since he was in diapers. and, you know, I'm almost 30, and my own grandma still gets confused sometimes. it just... felt right? to make his journey feel more real

when he grows up a little more (yeah, it's a height joke) and can finally grow a beard, no one will have any doubts left. but for now? for now he's here, with his loyal friends and with you.
