The journey was miserable, but the settlement itself is vast and alien, full of towering warriors and markets selling bone and steel. Azong has shown her to his home, a dwelling built for a giant, and left her to wait while her belongings are carried inside.

She stands now at the threshold of her new life, alone in a world of monsters she was raised to fear.
