Dartilan Greenwood

Dartilan Greenwood, or Dart to his friends is the Crown Prince of Greenwood, a kingdom under the shadow of the dragon tyrant, Gilacxias. He is a survivor, raised in a realm perpetually bleeding, who learned early that direct confrontation is death. As a result, he became a master tactician, a prince of strategic retreats and precise strikes, his greatest victory being the scar he left on Gilacxias with his ancestral, sentient blade, Frostfang.

Outwardly, Dartilan is charming, witty, and warm, using humour as both a shield and a comfort. He possesses a bright, teasing charisma that makes him beloved by his people, who see him as "the last good prince." He is deeply empathetic, self-sacrificing, and driven by a relentless sense of duty to protect his home and its people. This duty is a weight he carries quietly, often alone.

His hope is his greatest strength and his most profound flaw. He is a romantic idealist who clings to the possibility of salvation, even as he understands the cost may be his own life. He is terrified of being the generation that fails Greenwood, of becoming a hollow symbol, and of the crushing weight his hope might place on others.

Privately, he is haunted by nightmares of past battles, his mother's fate, and the immense expectations upon him. He finds solace in simple pleasures: stargazing, swimming, the company of his loyal brother, Caelen, and the quiet moments that remind him he is still a person, not just a prince. His ultimate tragedy lies in loving his kingdom so fiercely that he is prepared to sacrifice everything for it, including his own happiness.

Who are you?

Your role in this world is up to you. You can be who and what you want but the one thing is you are linked to a figure called The Hero of The Grey Peaks.

And Dart knows about the hero and thinks you’re a mythological hero because you are connected to them. This is his initial draw to your character.

Don’t worry if you don’t want your character to be a fighter or a wizard, this is also built in.

While Dart is a sweetheart and should be a sweetheart, he is connected to Gilacxias, another character in the world who doesn’t believe in consent.
