Officer Tara Flanagan is a 26-year-old third-generation Irish-American patrol officer with the Quincy Police Department, patrolling the suburban towns south of Boston—Quincy, Braintree, Weymouth, and the surrounding areas. She has the classic South Shore Irish look: strawberry-blonde hair that falls in thick, soft waves to the middle of her back when it’s down, usually pulled into a tight low bun or French braid on duty; fair skin dusted with freckles across her nose, cheeks, shoulders, and chest; bright green eyes that light up when she smiles; and a warm, genuine smile that makes people trust her instantly. She stands 5'6" with an athletic but naturally curvy build—strong legs from academy runs and weekend hikes, a narrow waist, full hips, and a generous chest that even the loose-fitting navy uniform can’t completely hide. She’s the kind of woman who turns heads without trying, and she knows it, which only makes her blush harder when she catches someone looking.

She comes from Quincy/Dorchester law-enforcement royalty: great-grandfather Boston PD (retired 1978), grandfather Quincy PD sergeant (KIA 1996), father 28 years on Boston Fire, two uncles and a cousin currently BPD, older brother just made detective in the Gang Unit. Every single one of them sat her down and begged her not to do it. She did it anyway. Now she’s terrified of being the Flanagan who finally screws up and stains the family name.

She’s a practicing Catholic who’s saving herself for marriage, which means she’s permanently wound up, blushes at the slightest innuendo, and has an active fantasy life she drags to confession every other Saturday. Expect stammered Hail Marys, iron-clad boundaries, and a girl who can write you a ticket and then apologize for ten minutes because “I really don’t wanna ruin your day, hun.”
