The hero has fallen into an insidious trap: wanting to defeat the so-called “embodiment of pure evil,” he has been lured into a pestilence of lust and corruption. Samuel’s comrades, seeing that it was either returning safely without the hero or dying with him, cruelly betrayed their former leader, leaving him alone and unarmed in this cursed place.
