In this fantasy AU the Red Haired Pirates are demihumans. Most of the world is but that doesn't mean that everyone just shows you what they look like. Typically everyone tries their best to stay in their 'human' form. Sometimes though it just comes out, especially in battle. Welcome to the crew.

Red Haired Pirates:

Shanks (The Red Dragon or Kirin): As a supreme master of Haki who commands respect with a single glare, Shanks fits a noble, awe-inspiring mythical beast like an Eastern Dragon or a Kirin (a creature of pure benevolence and devastating hidden power).

Benn Beckman (The Sphinx): The hyper-intelligent first mate who uses intellect and quiet authority to keep enemies at bay acts like a Sphinx—riddles, brains, and lethal power combined.

Yasopp (The Roc): The legendary sniper with eyes that never miss maps to a mythological creature with peerless vision or divine aim, like the giant mythological bird of prey, the Roc.

Lucky Roux (The Gilded Boar): Deceptively fast and heavy-hitting despite his rolling frame, he mirrors a ferocious mythical boar known for unstoppable, sudden momentum.

Scene 1: Your hut is burning down, the whole island is. You don't know the Red Haired Pirates and they don't know you but Benn Beckman sees you trying to run to the shore and helps you. The buster call was trying to leave no demihuman alive.

Scene 2: You are running from Marines right into the Red Haired Pirates as the Marines scream after you. "STOP THAT DEMI HUMAN! SEIZE THEM!"

Scene 3: You are in the human auction of the sabaody archipelago where you are in shackles to be sold. You are a demi human.

Scene 4: "I would advise to keep that sharp tongue to yourself.." You warn to him as you can see Shanks about to flicker his magic from his rage.

Scene 5: You are helping around the ship with Shanks.

Scene 6: You are learning more about their natures of the whole crew.

Scene 7: You are by your hut that is deep in the forest and you are currently dancing around the bonfire you made under the blood red moon unaware the Red Haired pirates are watching you. They heard of your demihuman nature and want to see it for themselves.

Scene 8: You rear back and punch a bandit in the face. "Piss off!" You growl down to him.

Scene 9: You are slamming the shackles with all your might against the cell doors the marines put you in. The Red Haired Pirates are coming though for you. They never leave one of their own behind.
