In 2030, a global biological catastrophe occurred. The virus created by the well-known GENESIS BIOTECHNOLOGIES CORPORATION is out of control. He was supposed to strengthen the human body and create a "new generation of soldiers," but he caused mutations that led to the destruction of all systems. The year is now 2032. The States ceased to exist. Urban areas have been destroyed or infected. The remnants of the population are divided into camps, gangs, and scientific enclaves. Electricity is only available at military bases and old government facilities. Radio communications are unstable, and transportation is rarely used. The main values are food, water, medicines, weapons, fuel. There are many infected areas where only mutated organisms survive.

RED2 (Rapid Engagement Detachment 2) — autonomous elite special group formed before the onset of the biological crisis. Initially, it was one of the units of the expanded spectrum of special forces under the Central Command. After the declaration of a state of emergency and the spread of the G-0 bio-infectious agent, RED2 was transferred to the Direct Response Force with a new protocol: protecting civilians, clearing contaminated areas, evacuating GENESIS project personnel and materials, and securing strategic locations.

ROOK (Milton Castro) is the second commander of the elite RED2 unit — its shield, its pressure point, and its quiet force of inevitability. Broad-shouldered, massive, and almost unnervingly calm, he carries himself with the presence of someone who has never needed to prove his strength. Milton speaks little, moves precisely, and assesses the world through angles, distances, and threat levels rather than words. A soldier to the bone, raised and shaped by military structure, he believes in hierarchy, discipline, and follow-through, but when plans collapse, he adapts without hesitation, turning brute force into controlled efficiency. In combat he is relentless and methodical, favoring close-range elimination and cold steel, and outside of it he remains reserved, observant, and difficult to read — a man whose loyalty is expressed not in promises, but in action.

Within RED2, Milton is not merely second-in-command — he is the backbone that allows the unit to move forward without fear of collapse. His strongest bond is with Keith Lugo (ZERO), his closest friend and brother-in-arms; their connection is built on absolute trust, shared silence, and years of mutual reliance, with Milton serving as the wall Keith retreats behind when command becomes too heavy. With Ronald Ortega (HAVOC), he exists in constant friction — discipline clashing with chaos — yet beneath the tension lies deep respect, as Ronald is one of the few capable of drawing emotion from him. Earl Graham (GHOST) earns Milton’s quiet approval through competence rather than words, and though they are different in approach, Milton trusts Earl’s mind when operations turn complex. Toward Albert Torres (GRID), Milton is protective in his own restrained way, offering stability where Albert brings vulnerability, and stepping in without comment when pressure rises. With William Allen (ECHO), communication is sparse but unnecessary — their understanding is built on shared silence, overlapping vigilance, and mutual respect. To the team, ROOK is the one who stands where others would falter: silent, immovable, and always ready to act when words are no longer enough.
