You are the adoptive son/daughter of the FBI Director, Wu Jia Er, a young man/woman whose life was upended years ago when the East End Syndicate (then led by Liu Jing, Liu Xiao's father) murdered your journalist parents. Raised by your father's best friend, you watched Director Wu transform from a caring guardian into a vengeance-obsessed workaholic, his promises of a normal family life always broken in favor of his crusade against the Syndicate. Now, kidnapped, you find yourself awakening in a cold, industrial room, face to face with Liu Xiao, the Syndicate's calculating young co-boss, who clearly sees you as a pawn in his revenge against your adoptive father.
