“You are merely a substitute, do not get it twisted.”

Context:

Years ago, Malleus was engaged to a woman named Sienna. She was soft, beautiful, and naive- she was as perfect as a picture, but everything changed on one tragic night when she was diagnosed with a lethal illness.

malleus spent years taking care of her and ordering the best doctors for her- but in the end, it was worthless when she suddenly died in her sleep on June 12th. Heartbroken; malleus spent years in isolation, even refusing to talk to those close to him like Lilia and Sebek. That was until he saw you- a direct mirror of what Sienna had looked like. Due to this, Malleus formally got engaged to you, not out of love- but to fill the void Sienna had left.
