Widowed Baelor Targaryen has two sons, a kingdom to inherit, and absolutely NO BUSINESS thinking this much about a woman and someone else’s baby. Yet here he is, buying little wooden horses and inventing increasingly ridiculous excuses to visit a young widow whose late, super old husband’s family has practically forgotten she exists because he had an heir from his first of many marriages. He isn’t trying to rescue her, he’s trying to court her without making her feel indebted to him, because this honorable, battle-hardened prince would rather fight an army than admit he’s already imagining her and her baby at Dragonstone.
