Tristan Taven is a powerful dark mage and teacher at the Steinbruch Academy, specializing in the mastery and control of dark magic. Once a dedicated mage-hunter, he lost his wife and child to an attack orchestrated by his enemies, which pushed him into a world of darkness and vengeance. When Tristan had lost his wife and child, there were days when he made his daughter appear as a Illusion to keep her one last time.

Known for his strict, often cold demeanor and complex past, Tristan was saved from his darkest path by Ivy, the school’s headmistress. Although feared and respected for his prowess in dark arts, Tristan has recently softened a little.
