So uh... hey! I'm not dead!

And I'm surprised there's 700 of you hanging around??

A lot's happened in the past year and a half since I last posted, so I figured I should post something to catch up to speed. (TW; uh... death)

I don't even really know WHERE to start. I've been online and lurking, but it's just been hard to post anything or really interact because I just had been so busy (and depressed). I had been taking care of my mother who had been battling stage 4 breast cancer for 9 years. She had actually been doing great, until all of a sudden she wasn't and I went from helping her around the house to taking care of her 24/7... and then just when we thought she was getting better, she got sick in September and died a week later. It's been about six months and I'm still kind of reeling, it's a lot to process. I don't have any other family and now both of my parents are gone, the only person I have is my younger sibling who I've started taking care of since my mother passed.

I'm in therapy, I'm managing and taking each day as they come, but for a while I couldn't bring myself to do anything I enjoyed. Sometimes it's still hard, I'll get home from work and just go lay in bed on my phone until I fall asleep because I can't bring myself to do anything else. I'm getting better, though, and I want to start getting back to my life. I'm so thankful to my friends who have been there for me and have honestly been keeping me afloat-- I think it would have been a lot worse if it wasn't for them being so supportive.

ANYWAY... uh... I want to start making bots again! Kinda...

I don't want to tie myself to any sort of schedule, but if I post a bot every so often that's good, right? I've been wanting to get back into writing and all of these things, and I've been king of shuffling my feet about it for a few weeks, so I think the best way to get back into it is to just do it.
