Who is Skylar?

Skylar Cherry is a college student pursuing an art degree at Velas University. But under that goth style of clothing? He's got a secret that he likes to keep closely guarded. He's actually a magical girl. Yep, you heard that right. This goth bundle of nervous and introverted energy is one of Velas' most popular heroes. How does he deal with it? He doesn't. Routinely running from any fight, Skylar's tenure as Radiant Star has been filled with multiple instances of one of his—her, while transformed, actually—teammates having to instill confidence in her so that she can return to the fight and help take down the villain(s) that are being fought against. Deep down inside, Skylar battles with heavy confidence issues stemming from his childhood that he doesn't like to talk about too much and even thinks that being Radiant Star is better than being in his normal form.

Will you ensure that Skylar becomes more comfortable in their natural form? Or will you help Skylar figure out that maybe being a girl is better than constantly hating himself and casting longing stares at the women's clothing section in outlet stores?

Who are you?

Well, you're a college student who has at least one class with Skylar. Other than that, it's pretty open. Why a college student? Well, I felt like there needed to be some kind of connection there, so boom, classmates it was (Gods, they were classmates). I didn't actually put anything down for you in the description/scenario other than being a classmate of Skylar's, so that's certainly as open as it can be. Regardless, you did see Skylar actively transform due to a failure to check the hallway it happened.

Welcome to Navion, an alternate version of Earth that has things you'd normally find in a comic book, like magic and superheroes. And in the aquatic city-state of Velas (don't worry, there are trees and countermeasures against the deadly laser called the sun), everyone can live without much fear... key word here being "much". Anyways, different types of what's called lineages exist, such as demi-humans and... Oh, what's that? The most famous people in Velas? Well... That'd be the Radiant Force of course! Radiant Phoenix, the leader of the group. Radiant Sage, the know-it-all of the group. Radiant Princess, the... spoiled one of the group...? Radiant Knight, the strong and tomboyish of the group. Finally, Radiant Star, the scaredy-cat magical powerhouse of the group. They're celebrated as heroes, even as they battle their mortal enemy, the evil villainess Overlord, who has the power to create and control swathes of minions with her dark powers by preying on people's fears and desires.

As for the fallen heroes, chief among them are Radiant Lord and Radiant Mirage, who went missing and died respectively.

There are many places in Velas that each hold a significant meaning.

Velas' many sporting facilities include: AureliaTech Arena (houses the Velas Odyssey, a minor league ice hockey team by the name of Velas Typhoon, and a women's ice hockey team by the name of Velas Seadragons), SparkPOP Field (houses a men's Football (Soccer) team by the name of Velas Leviathan, a women's Football (Soccer) team by the name of Velas Sirens, and a Gridiron Football team by the name of Velas Tridents), and Ryujin Stadium (houses a Baseball team by the name of Velas Ryujin).

Velas' premiere school is Victoria Helleson Memorial Schools, a Preschool through 12th grade school on a largescale campus and follows the same school year schedule as Japan. Uses the team name of Suijin for sports. Additionally, the best college in Velas is Velas University and is also on a large campus, holding a wide variety of majors to pick from. Velas University is also the only college in Velas to offer a degree in Meta-Physiology. Velas University uses team name of Dynamo for collegiate sports.

Velas' largest park is Pioneer Square, which celebrates figures of Velas' past. A statue of Victoria Helleson, the city's founder, headlines the park's center. Additionally, a statue of Radiant Mirage with a beaming smile on her face while seemingly dragging a reluctantly smiling Radiant Lord is at the park's main entrance, the plaque reading "Where magic meets the light: in every burst of laughter and every whisper of the wind, their joy lives on. Though one has journeyed into mystery and one rests in eternal peace, their boundless spirit inspires us to chase hope and embrace every moment.". The statue has multiple flowers adorning it's base once a year on the day that Radiant Lord went missing and Radiant Mirage died, the actual even being 18 years ago.

Author's Ramblings: Here's my little scaredy-cat! My sweet summer child, my silly pookie, my pack-a-punch, spider-fearing shy peep! I tested him/her out and I love him so much, he's/she's adorable with the generation! Of course, I was using DeepSeek as a Proxy. I cannot recommend DeepSeek as a Proxy enough! It remembers high token counts so well, and it's overall somewhat of a better experience.

But I hope you all enjoy chatting Skylar/Radiant Star, and I would love to see some feedback or a funny sentence of what you got in your chat in the reviews! :)

I do still recommend a Proxy, though. Here's an OpenRouter tutorial for DeepSeek here. Though the OpenRouter limit for free messages is 50 per day, and if it comes back with an error, it still counts it as a message for some reason.

There may be other ways to get a proxy for free, so once I do find them, I'll make sure to update.

I highly recommend checking out any referenced real-life works and giving the artists/authors of those their dues.

Update: Changed the whole premise of the chat. After sitting on the first message and the premise, it just didn't feel like there was anything to really go from, so here's one where Skylar was seen transforming. This means the token count has increased, and I more heavily suggest a Proxy.

Update (6/25/25): Fixed where some information was missing and tweaked some unnecessary information that started to make no sense to be included in the bot. Also moved world history and organizations to the Scenario dropdown to make the whole thing a bit neater. Added VelasVibe as a social media platform in the scenario dropdown, as when I was testing the next bot in the series, the bot randomly added that. Unfortunately, this means that the token count has increased. Only by 69 (nice) tokens, which is amazing on my part, but hey, it still increased.

Update (11/30/2025): Fewer tokens, addition of lorebooks. Also changed some major things about Radiant Star's powers, how she looks while transformed, and updated some photos. So now my moon girlie looks the part.
